The HYDROBOX-AW is a dedicated, complete solution for monoblock type heat pumps, which speeds up and simplifies the heat pump installation process.The module is intended for indoor installation in closed central heating systems. It is used to connect a monoblock heat pump with a heat buffer, domestic hot water tank, and to connect directly to the central heating system in a bufferless arrangement or with a buffer in series on the return.
The hydraulic module is equipped with the following components:
- a check valve,
- a 12V DC emergency pump,
- a 12V DC power maintenance system.
The most important elements of the hydraulic module HYDROBOX THERMATEC
Three-way valve with actuator:
- model: AZV 844 by AFRISO,
- switches between the domestic hot water tank (DHW) and the buffer tank (CH).
Magnetic filter:
- protects against all kinds of impurities present in the installation water,
- impurities are mechanically separated by a filtration mesh,
- the filter has a magnetic element that captures ferromagnetic impurities,
- can be used in an installation filled with a water-glycol mixture.
Emergency backup system:
- protects the heat pump from water freezing for 24 hours in the event of negative temperatures and power outages or heat pump failures,
- the emergency pump circulates water, preventing the water in the system from freezing,
- powered by an independent 12V battery charged through a buffer charger.
Electric heater:
- a flow-through electric heater with a max. power of 6 kW,
- consists of 3 heaters, each with a power of 2 kW, powered by a 3-phase 230V~ voltage,
- can be switched on independently or as a group through a contactor control system.
Electrical panel:
- powers and controls the individual devices that make up the hydraulic module,
- hermetic box IP65,
- incorporates a 12V battery and a buffer charger,
- includes an emergency system temperature sensor.
